About BATTS Table Tennis Club
BATTS was formed at Burnt Mill School in Harlow in 1994 after use of a small church hall became inadequate.
In 2005, we had the opportunity to bid for our very own full-time centre. Harlow Council had been forced to close The Norman Booth Recreation Centre for budgetary reasons. We prepared a bid and found out in December 2005 that we had been successful.
WELCOME TO
BATTS TTC
In 2014 we were selected by the English Table Tennis Association as one of the first four Centres in England to become a Talent Development Centre. This gave us the opportunity to significantly increase our coaching effort, boosted by the appointment of a full-time professional coach who would be employed by the ETTA but based at our club, enabling us to spread our coaching into local schools.
We regularly host other weekend events e.g. Regional Coaching sessions, County weekends, tournaments, disabled days and school tournaments.
We welcome visitors to our club nights and can accommodate players of any standard. For more information about when we play please see our club sessions page.
While table tennis is our main activity we are also a thriving leisure centre hosting a wide range of other sports and leisure interests, serving the local community. For more information about this please see the other activities page.
